  5. ACR 2000 Point-Of-Sale software was designed for businesses that want to
  6. improve store operations by offering premium customer services at point-of-sale
  7. and flexible management reporting, which was previously impossible or
  8. unavailable on a timely basis. Hardware configurations at point-of-sale may
  9. include the IBM 4684 modular POS terminal, IBM 3151 ASCII terminals with POS
  10. peripherals, or existing IBM PS/2 products. The UNIX-based host computer may be
  11. configured as a POS user or manager terminal. Host computers may range from an
  12. IBM 80 or Intel 80386-based PC, up to an IBM RS 6000 mid-range computer. By
  13. design, ACR 2000 POS software supports any preferred industry standard
  14. hardware. ACR 2000 POS software will operate with one or several ACR vertical
  15. application software modules, each uniquely programmed to address a specific
  16. POS environment. For example, a hybrid store with a supermarket and liquor
  17. store would select ACR Super Scan and ACR Package Scan vertical software
  18. modules. At present, ACR offers vertical software sets for Retail, Speciality,
  19. Supermarket, C-Stores, Restaurant, and Liquor Stores. In each vertical
  20. environment, users may purchase feature options for: Inventory Control, Direct
  21. Store Delivery, Charge Posting, Time and Attendance, host communications, etc.
  22. An ACR store management system may be tailored in innumerable ways, limited
  23. only by your imagination or your system requirements!
